again with the pauses! sorry dan, i know you need reading material @ ai...haha. [almost] all settled into my new place in stamford - love the place. it's perfect location ... starbucks and a cute sports bar just down the street - my fave vices within walking distance!! still working on the pack-rat thing. sigh.
since i last posted...sox got knocked out, yankees got knocked out, psu is having the best season since 1999! i got to spend a little time having dinner with my nova heads, and then gerard and i hit up rhino ... and i drove,which means for he first time ever i walked outta there sober. haha.
after my short moco trip it was time to head to chi-town for our huge distributor meeting / national sales meeting. wow was that ugly. i will never, ever take shots of jack again. much love to k and miranda for taking care of my drunk ass, haha. and for everyone who put up with me. lol. i'm still slightly recovering - i have a really nasty looking bruise on my arm thats pretty much gone, and one on my shin that is still tender :-\. i love that pct'ers and penn staters are everywhere. case in point: im at the bar with my co workers, grabbing a beer and i hear someone calling my name... i turn around and it's james lee [who lives in dc!] who happened to be in chicago the same week i was and happened into the same dive bar i was at. insanity!!!
after chicago i had precisely 2 days to recover before penn state played ohio state. huge huge game, and a night game! friday was awesome - went over to the house, drank a few, and hit up club love - this new bar at penn state. reason #234983.34 why i love state college: alcohol law loop holes. when i graduated psu, there was only 1 liquor license left. that means only one more bar can open. however; if a bar opens and shares an adjoining wall with a bar with a current liquor license, it can share that liquor license. club love is over the big sleeze - i wanted to go there to see k, but there was a redic line and im not so much a fan anyway. def tried to meet up with dan and gary and gailey, but kinda got kicked outta players. [i know, its players, why was i even there....] apparently im "never allowed back" yeah right buddy; im sure you'll really remember me...plus like i need to be at your shitty ass club anyway - there are 25 other bars i can hit up. back to the house for a beer/water fight [whose idea WAS that???] and passed out @ the house.
sat during the day was a ton of fun - woke up, did the BEST walk of shame ever [justin, who says i'm too old for that??]. crammed 11 people into a pacifica, and went to tailgate. apparently we missed the "bring a tent" memo, and we for got a ton of stuff so we sent james and badger to grab it...with the car. so our tailgate was one golf umbrella, one cooler, one half of a sub that justin ate, and us. then met up with k to head on over to this redic tailgate...they had to start late cause the cops pulled them over - apparently they had "too much alcohol" and they thought they were gonna make a bomb. [!!] haha. and i got carded! these undercovers came up outta NOWHERE and wanted my id. of course, me double fisting was very excited, and cheers'ed everyone around me ...the poor cops just shook their heads, but there wasn't anything they could do.
the game....wow, the game. incredible. my only regret was that i didn't get a home depot gameday hat. haha. we won, and headed on down to beaver canyon, where every cop in the state of pa was waiting for us - night stick in hand. i of course gave them high five's. we went to the phryst, where i made an awesome new friend! his shirt said "no one is ugly at 2am" i love it!! the pic is below - sorry for the crappy quality, but it was dark and its a camera phone.
i'd go on a rant about boys, but i've vented enough. hate'm!!! grr. plus i'd much rather focus on the good things ... like a psu bowl game!
