not all chemicals are bad. without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

lots to talk about, mostly because gretch is away over seas. :(
i finally got my very own territory, which is awesome. and i've really started looking for places to move, which is also awesome. i'm going to check out a place tomorrow, and theres one other place i want to check out. and then this weekend im going to drive down to stamford and check out apt complexes - hopefully find a cool 2 BR and then try to find a roommate. i wish i was going to wi with the fam, but its really just too busy to take days off right now.
this past weekend was a trip to penn state for the 8th annual beer expo. i drove down friday after a terrible day, so when i got there [ in my cool BL trex clothes] i started drinking. made some new friends, one of whom wore a trex shirt out to the bars. haha. we hit up the saloon for a monkey boy, then off to the skellar for a bit. i made friends with mcnitt's [and matt's former] jeet kun do [sp?] instructor.
the beer expo wasn't all that for me - i'm really not a good beer connoisseur. i did enjoy the frambois and the wood chuck tho. and we had a good time. afterwards we hit up the brewery for a little 1.75 long islands and nudie photo hunt. john gailey and i kick ass at that game. yeah! i also hit up one of the new bars- pickles. that place is cool. oh! and i saw alana!! :)
some memorable quotes/events:

"poundcake" [with the sucking action]
"hey, where's the budweiser booth?"
"slap slap slap slap...[10 min pause]...slap slap slap slap"
"are you ready for the tsunami?"
"oh right, i forgot that you were a bigot"
the kkk chef
"f'ing goonie"
"whats your name? nevermind, were going to call you ben"
the diner
cheap bar tricks
glasses of water a-flying
grape jelly water
pink cheerleader shirts
boys, if you remember any others leave a comment!!

surround yourself with people who take their work seriously, but not themselves, those who work hard and play hard.

wow...i can't believe its almost august already! life has been very busy with work - it is decking season! we have a new promo out, so i'm very busy trying to make sure every knows about it. sigh. it would be nice to have more samples. weekends have also been busy:
july 4th weekend - spent the weekend with matthew. i saw his new place, chilled with the deloitte kids. went to the regetta, which was cool cause we saw these awesome jet skis go off a 10-foot ramp. saw a trex deck @ ikea, which is always exciting, haha. i met up with amy and her, matt and i randomly met up with lehua to watch the fireworks/drink. ask to see the pics - hopefully they will be up soon. i may even start a photos site.
july 10th weekend - drove down to moco for my mom's b day! traffic was a nightmare. i actually got outta there early, but spent 5 hours in nyc traffic. ew. so when i got down there ineeded a drink. met up with some random heads who knew my brother from msu, but had to leave them when i met up with geoff, jessy, and roach. pct party! went to heaven and hell, and had an awesome time. :) then it was my mom's b day, so we went shopping (she declined the invite to geoff's party, haha) in leesburg and then to a habotchi (sp?) place for dinner. it was a nice night. sun it was time to go, but not before saying hi to my favorite nova heads :) even tho somene kept talking about poker (ahem, mikey!!)
july 14th weekend - it was arts fest, however i was not there - boo! it was the first artsfest i missed since i started going to psu. but i still managed to have some fun - just ask dan, matt, and wbb cause i def drunk dialed them. i had a wedding in traverse city, mi so i flew into chicago and a few of us drove up together. "what happens in traverse, stays in traverse" i'd tell you more, but then i'd have to kill you. congrats to mr. and mrs. butters!!!
since i got back it has been non-stop. seems as though i'm a fire fighter, not a sales professional. (hey...stop laughing!!) sigh. busy is good, and this weekend its back to psu. i am tentativly making plans to hit up chi town again with kristin, but this time meeting up with miranda. nyse twp bar tour: chicago. sounds like trouble to me. O:-)

so this is going to have to be short cause i def have to get up in 3 hours. yikes! tom i have a 6am contractor breakfast in norwalk that i got roped into doing. sigh.
but i did finally get sirius up and running - AWESOME. it's really cool, tho i haven't had time to really master all the features yet. it'll be good to jam to tom tho when im half asleep @ the wheel.
and i went to my first heavy metal show tonight! now anyone who knows me at all is very surprised. there is an explanation: my friend otto (who works for one of my distributers) is in a band so todd (another ppw rep), addie (trexie), and i went to go watch him. i was def skeptical - esp after a couple of the bands hurt my ears when they played. but they actually did a really good job - despite being kicked off stage after 15 min. i feel worse for the band that came all the way from GA to only play for 15 min - but they weren't very good anyway. yay for being a groupie!! haha
i'm running low of hd space on my computer. grr. which means that i either need a bigger hd or a new laptop. i'm thinking i will move all my trex stuff to my music folder since i really dont dl that much anymore. i just hate to buy a brand new hd when really what i need is a laptop. so i am doing a little computer cleaning, trying to delete stuff iwont need. while i'm at it, ill prolly clean out my buddy list too - wayy too many people i don't talk to. heads up stalkers: if you haven't chatted with me in a while i'm deleting you!
on a completely random note, im not sure if i get spoiled by the guys in my industry / my friends, but is it too much to expect manners from guys these days?? i have been very dissapointed - for example, one person who i thought we were going to start hanging out again and maybe becoming friends - this was somone who i had a lot of respect for. note the had. i mean there are people that i know don't care about me at all who are nicer to me (but that is an entirely different blog). guys: no one is going to bite your head off for having good etiquette! where is the love??
