i've stopped drinking, but only while i'm asleep.

hmm...been very busy. went to memphis, tn for the first time - AWESOME. had an absolute blast, and it was really good to see all of the associates. def overslept tho and almost missed the bus. grr. saw a lot of beale st. and the peabody is pretty cool - they have ducks that swim in the fountain!

after memphis, it was time to come home and recover - only to head to dc the next weekend. saw dan the man, which is always a good time. and took gabs out on the town - sans random guys this time. we went out to tysons to meet up with gerard and deniz - that is their new spot - chill's in tysons. cause its a really happenin' place....or maybe cause someone thinks the hostess is hot. haha. took deniz out for his b day, then chilled @ bens apt. while we played with baby his cat and ben made redic. comments.

came home at 7am in time to pack to head to nyc (yeah...that sucked). here's where the crazyness begins. when i got into town i met up with laubs, katey, and wbb at espn zone for a few drinks and "dinner" (aka 2 huge beers and a small bowl of soup). then wbb and i went out to the bars on 3rd st since i had such a good time with joe and dan and lisa the first time. 2 for 1 mojitos. so wbb and i proceed to chug like 5. hit up bar 515, bill ran into a tree and i completely blew up joes celly trying to wake him up. haha. but i did meet up with him, polan, mike (from my pledge class at pct) the next night. mike: "i can't get drunk tonight denise - i am swamped with work and i haven't been getting much sleep - i need to take it easy and be home at like midnight" well, 7 beers, 2 pina coladas, a lemon drop and tequila shot later...needless to say mike was late for work. (on a business related note, the buildingsny show, which was why i was there, was a complete success - yay!)

hamptons....insanity. in case you couldn't tell from the myspace comments wbb left me. a short list:

* making new friends: angry striped shirt kid; kids that wanted to fight garrett; the mother at the hotel; the old lady next door; the maids
* "shut the fuck up you horrid little monsters!!!!"
* hopping to the hotel room: "this isn't trex! i'm going to get splinters!!"
* getting out of the car at 7-11: "did you just change your clothes? and why are you wearing my shirt?"
* "guess what i'm not wearing...."
* batting practice with ice and a shuffleboard stick
* dirty bird running from the cops
* a LOT of alcohol + unlocked pool + idiots like us = trouble
* "this is so weird...i'm the most conservatively dressed person here"
* "you haven't been drinking today..." "wanna bet?"

needless to say, i didn't get much sleep. after the show i was too tired to mess with fighting hamptons traffic and maybe missing my ferry (plus bridgeport at night is not the best place for me) i stayed with my cousin - had an awesome dinner and managed to polish off half a bottle of rum.

so begins another week. it's the end of the qtr so i really gotta get all my stuff in this week, like all my old expense reports. fun fun. and ops reports are due. its going to be a couple late nights. def worth it after an incredible whirlwind couple of weeks :)
