inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out. but i can usually shut her up with cookies.

today was a really good day, despite spending most of it driving around the boonies lost. and i really don't feel i was super productive at work. plus i got de-invited to the show tomorrow, haha. apparently the guys running it don't want vendors that sell competitive products - i don't see the problem! haha.
i did get my to-go doopio for free though; that was exciting. and im in charge of the nyc show in a month. less than a month! yikes. and gerard is back, so thats always a plus - someone to talk to at random hours of the night yay! and we're hitting up the improv june 1 to use the free tix i won! yeah!!! not to mention my awesome workout today :) i didnt think id do that well, but must have been going pretty fast. i wasnt really feeling it today, but i guess i do better with the tv - gives me something to zone out on rather than watch the clock. but then again, when am i ever anxious to work out?

my official 3rd 21st birthday has come and gone - it was a lot of fun. thurs was a chill day - i had a bbq over in bumble (actually really close to uconn) so did that. free lunch! called on a couple accounts; conference calls. friday was exciting cause i got to go home!! the flight was one leg going to orlando - lots of kids and families. but made it home, hit up for food and starbucks (of course) and before i knew it, candice was calling to meet up. soco shot for good luck; however aparently we shoulda had 2. we couldn't find tommy joes - ended up at barking dog. had a lot there, but then decided to meet up with ben-head and james lee at h20. . . on hip hop night. haha. but it was fun - it was a little big and i kept losing people. and both of these so called "heavy drinkers" i found later passed out in the bathrooms!! haha. we did manage to have a lot of fun, despite a ton of mishaps - losing ben, getting a cabbie who had no clue where to go, and me slamming my finger in the door. haha.
sat was pretty chill; me and my mom and matt went into dc - foggy bottom. we were going to hit up the paddle boats, but we walked around too long and missed it. oh well, my main goal was to enjoy the gorgeous weather, and more importantly, wear my new awesome sunglasses. after that it was time for an awesome dinner at serbian crown. they used to have like a steak diane, but don't anymore. what they do still have is awesome vodka. i had a lime and ginger beer drink (think like lime vidka and gingerale), which was really really good. my mom had a cream type drink which i don't think was as good, and matt had a polish beer (he was still hella hungover). i had a filet, and since hte palce was fmaous for its wild game, everyone else had antelope and lion. crazyness.
sunday was nice, mom made brunch and then it was time tohead on home.
thanks to everyone who offered to take me out / came out to see me. although it's never an expectation - hello, how rude can someone be - its so nice that i get to hang out with the people i care about :) and besides, who says the celebrating has to end!! besides, it means more when people ask to come celebrate - as opposed to being forced to celebrate (or worse, buyt presents!!) much love to everyone who sent warm wishes - the best present ever (well, minus my golf clubs and sunglasses ;) )

midget tossing game. i really don't think this needs much explanation, but i did play it for a while and it's pretty addicting. the sound effects when you win really make the game...you really cant listen to it without laughing.
i got absolutely nothing done today; called on a bunch of accounts; saw brandon at one of them as he was building a display. i was soo tired when i got home i took a nap for a few hours.
and someone, who i wont name, but his name starts with a 'c' and ends in 'arl', made me watch that redic show about britney and kevin. ugh. terrible, and i will never get that time back.
on a more positive note, congrats to all the psu grads!! welcome to the real world. yeah, you shoulda stayed longer. haha. i do love penn state, and wish i was still there, but i also love my job and my coworkers. bbq's all the time, free vacay to the hamptons (anyone wanna join me??), and theres that little issue of making money rather than giving 25k away to psu every year. seriously, though, enjoy the time before you work ,cause once you start your career thats like 50 years. and we dont get 3 months off for summer.
song of the day goes out to busta cause heard it on the radio as a "vintage cut." wow guys, thanks for making me feel really old. i do really like this song. and that reminds me, i miss that ghetto mix tape i used to have.

wow, again i'be been lacking. work has kept me pretty busy - calling on lots of new accounts; it's pretty much like cold calling all over again, but it's exciting at the same time. it's going really well, so thats awesome.
mothers day weekend was lots of fun; got to see candice sara and alex fri @ bennigans. candice did out drink me, but there will be a rematch. haha. also picked up my dress and saw the nova kids (minus krissy - boo). but i got to hang out with my mom, which was always nice. ima get to see her again this weekend for my 3rd 21st birthday celebration!
this past weekend was so much fun. friday i went out with sara and lucious. traffic was a nightmare; i was running out of gas, my lunch buddy cancelled on me...so when i got there i def needed a night out. sara also had a rough week, so we went out to party (on no dinner - bad idea). aaaand the bar we wanted to go to was closed. soooo after 2 cab rides (get to the place "$5 cover" "...lets just go back" "that was a waste!"), 2 shots, one long island, one skinny bitch (my drink of choice as of late - grey goose and diet coke witha lime twist...it's actually good), another unknown shot, another skinny bitch, one lemon drop and other assorted drinks later...i was a wreck. i managed to make some new friends; these 2 guys at the first place we went (one was a penn stater - yeah!) and then those chicks who loved me (just ask lucious!). hahahaha.
memorable quotes, so you get the idea of the crazyness:
"you dont remember leaving because you didn't. you were carried out..."
"no, its ok, let me walk on my own" "ok" *falls immediately*
"you just came back and it was just you dancing with all these thug guys, it was hilarious"
"i passed out in chad's suitcase"
sat was filled with gambling - nickel and 25 cent slots, yeah!! we got krissy to wear the garters we got her all day, but she refused to wear the veil. oh well. her mom even wore her garter (...on her arm)! krissy's mom made out the best out of everyone - she won $500!!! i managed to just not lose any money, which was awesome for me, and i think sara didnt lose any. we met up with the boys for dinner (prolly shoulda chosen adifferent place...) it was bad cause if we had just gone in the other direction there were sooo many places to eat. oh well. then we went back to the hotel on the last shuttle, and sara and i stayed up watching cheers and chatting. i actually got a good nights sleep, which was surprising. it was good to take a ngiht off and go to sleep as opposed to passing out.
birthday month has commenced!!! so excited. i'm turning 21!! friday is going to be fun - going out with candice, matt (yay!!!), justin (its his birthday too!) and dan the man and those kids, etc etc. gretch and sara wont be there, but i'm celebrating all month, so well have a chance in june :)
wow, hella long post - gretch this should keep you entertained till i get to see you again (which is going to be like never)

Some people never fail to annoy me with constant inconsideration of other people; and consistant rudeness. i really can not fathom how these people can exist and think of themselves as good people when thier selfish motives are so transparent. yes, in general, you do need to look out for you; but not at the expense of others (hey, i am a big fan of the saying "gotta look out for number 1, and stay away from stepping in number 2"). ugh.
ok enough venting. on to the good stuff. been busy with work, which has been awesome. our new products seem to really be taknig off, and im actually seeing results from calling on accounts. imagine that! i do fee lbad for brandon tho - he helkps me out and calls on the same account s i do. he gets the same thing - "where's denise??!?!" it's obviously because of my awesome relationship building skills. haha.
this weekend was a lot of fun - thurs got free dinner on trex cause he ahd a pk / training session, then went to uno's for a beer with otto. fri dave was in town! i got to cook, and made my apt look hella cool. i got new sheets, new towels, and finalyl got my second bath fixed. btw, that shower is sooooo much better than mine, and im so using it from now on. managed to get asain dave wasted, and captured it on my camera. haha. but i did take him to the diner, got him food and lots of water so he didnt feel like crap driving to philly the next day. (i remember my first trip hungover ... it was after a 40's night with the 701 dip girls, and i was driving back to moco with ward...it was a rough rough drive) then it was off to nyc, where i made up for taknig it easy the night before, lol. but i got to hang out in an 80's vodeos party with joe, where we had a few then met up with carlito and kelley and chris and jay. always a pleasure hanging out with carl and kelley; we went to some other bar sans carl [according to the receipt it was called "Wetbar"], but it gets pretty fuzzy after the lemon drop i ordered. [which wasnt a traditional lemon drop - they pre mixed it??]
sunday was chill; hung out in central park which i never realized how gorgeous it is there. all i ever see is law and order - and it's not so pretty when they find dead bodies there. they also have roller disco, which was pretty cool to watch. after that, i was heading on out but randomly drove past justin as i was calling to findo ut where he was to say goodbye. aparently joe and i had dinner like right next to his apt. sigh. but got to have a coffee, [and i didn't crash the starbucks monitor like i did the night before, haha] and catch up with justin and margo.
back to the daily grind - almost. today was an office day so it was pretty chill. i have more leverage this week cause its mostly putting out fires and training the associates that i am only in here once a month, and if you need something you better time it so you need it when im around. it's decking, so it's not really like someone is going to die if they wait 2 weeks. plus there are a ton of other people that can help when i cant.
