state college - a drinking town with a football problem

psu was an *rolls eyes* awesome time, as always. haha zinda. i got there early for once, and had a chance to pregame with the boys at hotel dan and sean. the boys got a handle of jack and were determined to finish it before the end of the weekend, which they did. i'd post pictures, but im sure they are highly inappropiate. haha

hit up the cafe, of course. i got my heel caught in my jeans and fell flat on my face. and i wasnt even drunk yet. i hate it when i do stupid stuff like that sober. so i had to chug 2 skinny bitches to make up for it. we sat outside, and i saw roach, geoff, and james from pct - chilled with those heads for a hot minute, hit sports center where amy,james, and i got a free drink from some random head. haha. i saw ryan sheetz! then it was back to the house for more beer and a small bonfire (yeah... drunk idiots and fire really isnt a good combination) sat was the psma tailgate where iha dlike 15 beers and it was pouring, so i didnt make it to beaver bash. which stinks, cause i missed like 15 calls and def def wanted to go. sat night of course, keith and boost was palying at the brewery - i left and forgot to close my tab, but shooter wouldnt let me pay. which was awesome cause i def bought 10 shots - 5 for us and 5 for the band. but i did not get to paly nudie photo hunt - a dissapointment. next time. also hit up mad mex, but i just drank water there. and acme pizza, of course. amy took me home, and it gets slightly fuzzy. i do remember waking up at 9 cause stef came in. haha.

i saw my ct friend in the bathroom at the im building - insane that we live 20 min from each other and see each other in PA. wow. it was really cool to see everyone, the pct'ers, psma people (k feds!!), the boys, and of course matt. :) it was sad to come home and leave everyone.

if you're wondering aobut the game, i didn't make it in. but iheard penn state won, yay! haha. zinda asking random heads on the street : "hey, who won the game?? penn state? awesome!" and me yelling out amy's car at random guys: "haaayyyyyy"

the drive home was rough - bad bad traffic on 80 and it was snowing. snowing. wtf? its almost may. whatevs.

i got another wedding invite in the mail today - yay! and now i have an excuse to look at dresses and stuff to help gretch out :) im really excited for her and jay. and the site is sooo gorgeous. everyone is getting married!! i can't believe how old we all are. it doesnt seem that long ago that we were in quebec, or hanging out at pv. but im happy, its nice to see everyone so happy. plus i get to live vicariously through gretchen and help her plan. yay!

leaving for psu in few - so excited. who knows? maybe i'll make it into the game this time! i wonder if shooter remembers me. haha sometimes it worries me that a bartender knows me in a college town of 45,000 undergrads. but its a little bar, and i've been there on open mic night (cause really, whats a better excuse to drink on a tuesday?) and its the kind of bar where they'll but pizza for everyone. plus i always tip shooter really well. so that justifies it, right?

i've never actually made it to the game before. i wonder if they'll play williams - i'm anxious to see how he does. if he can't pronounce the name of the school i hope he makes up for it with his athleticism. season tix this year!! but i'm not really sure where ill be sleeping since sean is taking his chair and dan feels the need to "move to be closer to his girlf" i mean really, what's that about?? haha

chez dan is going to be full - 10 people! haha. i clal the chair tho. it's my fave. maybe 11, if zinda brings home some beat ass girl again....haha.

12 hours to go before detox is up. very very excited. it's going to be one heck of a weekend. so i better go pick up my dry cleaning (inc my really hot jacket i got in canada...that i paid too much for) get packed up, and hit the road. i wanna hit as many depots as i can and hopefully leave like 1pm. well see.

i frankly felt like the reception we received on the way in from the airport was very warm and hospitable. and i want to thank the canadian people who came out to wave -- with all five fingers -- for their hospitality.

yes, still talking about canada. i figure i can keep telling stories until i am rehydrated, lol. i feel ok, but i am always thirsty. and actually canadians were really nice - if you are a pedestrian. they def just walk out in the street and you've gotta yield to them. lol.

anyway, another chill day. still wasn't feeling too too hot, so i took another office day. i did coordinate with justin thogh so now i know what im doing and when - western ct friday so i can head on out, and then southern ct tom - i have a contractor breakfast in wallingford tomorrow from 7-11, then head on south. maybe if im feeling energetic ill hit glastonbury before i head down there.

not much to complain about - the weather is gorgeous, so im working on my tan :) just wish i could get my skin back into shape - the air is really really dry in canada. oh i left my $12 lip gloss in my car, ad its all melted. grr! but thats my fault. oops. i have others, so im not too concerned. yay juicy tube! so much better than the sephora one anyhow.

2 days till blue white!!!! and justin is coming!! maniaci we'll miss you lots - im praying for ya and will def have a monkey boy for you :)

so last night i didnt go to bed till like 430 am, so when my alarm went off at 8, i was not feeling it. plus i felt soo nauseus. so much for eating tuna every now and then. so i took an office day. actually got my auto logs done, as well as my dc expenses. tomorrow i will get boston done, send it in friday or so, and then send in canada's probably monday. i found a receipt for some random place for $40 at 2:13 am. yeah right the c-dubs is going to be having that. and i def def don't remember the place or why i was there or with who. o well.

yesterday was a good cause i had a lot of cranberry juice and oj. hopefully tom when i get on the road it will be even better. plus i got a better, cooler jump rope. it's weighted, which is really cool. i just hope that it doesnt get all twisted like my old one. i didn't realize how close mikey's wedding is - 2 months!!

on the venting side, not only did i get stopped at customs / security on my way back like 15 times, but they opened up my suitcase. as soon as the asked me to step aside i knew i was screwed. it took me 10 minutes to get it shut that morning. and now they were going to look around?? sigh. then they wated to examine my laptop. neb (who i found at security) joked that they wanted to search it cause no one ever would actually still be using a computer from like 1990. and i got a ticket. stupid state trooper. grr.

on the bright side, i founda new online game! it;s called big money. so hopelessly addicted. almost worse than that castle game. but at least this one ends, haha. and i got flowers today :) nothing makes me happier than fresh flowers, and the tulips i stole from the show are not looking so pretty.

it's been awhile, mostly because i havent been home to update. worked for a couple days, and then it was off to boston for the res builders show. hung out, saw gabs. friday i had off because i was supposed to be shopping with jay. instead my best friend got engaged! soo excited for them. came home late fri, watched my soaps (did taxes, blah), and sat it was off to toronto for a week!!

toronto. all i can say is, oh, canada. there is so much there that i really can't even begin. and i can't begin to tell all the stories. if you want to know, say hi over im (or email) and ask about gary, croc rock and 200 bucks in 20 min (its ok though "cause thats only like 10 bucks american..." haha), or any night. just call me "partytogo"

tomorrow is going to suck. rockstar said i was going to need at least 36 hours to feel normal, but i think ill bounce back quicker cause im not old like him. plus he obv cant hold his alcohol either if even i can outdrink him...haha jk. i have soo much office work to get done, all my expenses plus auto log. plus gotta hit all my depots this week cause ill be in NY/RI the next few weeks. its detox week too, so im having my liquid sleeping pill tonight (yay for beers that arent $7 each) and then taking a break.

don't worry though; partytogo is making a come back friday. blue white @ psu! so excited. also for the free food and beer im drinking at psma tailgate. haha.

well it's getting fairly late so i gotta bounce laters kids!

i'll sleep when i'm dead.

i have to get up fairly shortly, but i cant seem to sleep. my sleep schedule is so completely messed up. and tom is going to be soooo rough - westchester [ny] tomorrow am (7:00!!) and then working my way up to my distributor for samples / to steal some literature.

this weekend was a lot of fun - got to relax, sleep in, etc. matt came up here, so we got to hang out. fri we jsut relaxed and drank here; sat we went to lunch, then the mall to get some clothes, and ended up the night @ rookies to watch the msu - unc game. (even i found myself rooting for msu) the funny thing is not only did the g town bartender recognize me (or maybe he just felt bad cause i knew his name), but our cabbie friday recognized us. haha. plus the bartender @ rookies, when i asked him if his name was aaron (so terrible at names - bad for a sales rep) he was like "yeah i thought you looked familar....where do i know you from?" hahahaha. dave, i knew you would appreciate that cause i know you are such a big rookies fan.

other highlights from sat night was i did my very first yeager bomb! i chickened out at psu (oops sorry to the kids who remember that...) and i think mcnitt ended up drinking it, haha. it wasnt as bad as i was scared it would be. i did def feel the effects and didnt head to bed till 4am or so. ps - who gets free shots for her and her boyf from random guys?? haha. not that im complaining. :) sometimes it pays off that i'm nice.

sun was sad cause matt left, but we did get to hit up cromwell diner - the grime's fave diner and fast becoming mine too. (haha it still makes me laugh to see lucious in there at 3am trying to convince the manager to get me a beer)

random thought - i have accepted the fact that to many people in my company i will always be "miranda." and thats ok with me. i love her, so its really not bad at all to be called her. but i got forwarded another email from my friend kristin who got pics of me sent to her by another co-worker. ok, being mixed up with one associate that i lived with and sat next to is one thing, but i have no clue why anyone would confuse me with kristin. (again, let me be very clear: not a bad thing, but still). sigh. at least hopefully next [next] week ill be chillin with bentley - he knows who i am!!
well, since i have to be up very shortly, i suppose i should try and get some rest, as futil as it may seem. at least tom i can jam to kelly / country to stay awake, yeah! and back to the gym tomorrow for sure. im really excited cause my boxing lesson is this week and my hotel in boston has a pool - i wil lbe very happy to swim some laps - i get so much thinking done, and its sooo good for you.

there's a lot of things i need to clear in my head - im a pack rat, not only literally, but i tend to try to keep people past thier "expiration dates" (wendy williams explained that term and i love it). just because someone was a good friend and was there for you and listened to you during xxxxx, doesn't automatically qualify them to stay in your life. i complain a lot, and make fun, but i know i care still. grr!

i cant end this on a negative note, so ill make fun of myself - those pics that were sent to me, were collages of the tampa deck expo. haha. i wont post them here, for a lot of reasons. but if you really wanna check me out in my really cool work clothes where i completely look like a boy [or as i like to say, the "b-l look"] , im me or leave a comment and ill send them on.

wow. haven't posted in a while. was out in nova on the road for week. it was nice to spend the easter weekend with my mom - we went to brunch at the art museum in dc. it was good even though service was terrible. who knew that easter sunday would bring in extra people??

other highlights of my week was that i won a joke contest!!!! i went out to a comedy club with the nova heads (minus mikey - boo cause he was invited) and after they had all the comedians they had a joke contest. and i won based on the merits of my joke thank you. haha, even i can't say that with a straight face. we went out to this other bar, where they made mojitos (my current drink du jour ever since i had them in nyc with dan, lisa, and joe). it gets a tad fuzzy, but i made it home in time to drunk dial. haha. ("night denise" "...bastard...." *click*).

thurs i went out with candice, we went out to dinner with all the nova kids this time around. it was... interesting. it's amazing what you can learn. thanks kids for enlightening me. then of course i hit up g-town where i had to carry the table, haha. dan the man bailed which means he's not getting his sweatshirt back, haha. we actually didnt drink all that much, and finally when candice was feeling better we went back to my hotel and BS'ed and drank. :)

you'll notice i didn't mention work. haha. no, i did do work, trained one of the dist reps down there and followed the bretster around. im really excited to go into dealers and start calling on them alone. but in sad news they posted the nova position that i volunteered for. i was kinda hoping that bret would be dazzled and request me to come down and fill tzs spot. oh well.

im excited for this weekend; get to sleep in my own bed (who knew id miss that?) hit rookies up, things like that.

oh and i am a complete hypocrite. ill post more later, but its all higg's fault! (i can't turn higgs down cause hes my boy)

for now, it's off to the mall in this crazy flood weather. (yes, the mall cause i didnt goto tysons erveryday last week...) but i can't turn down a chance to go visit my new sneakers :)
