So this posting is a monthly thing for me, something to get gretch through her months :). The most recent thing on my mind has been the AMA conference in New Orleans. We did win a couple awards which was realyl cool, and we also won the unofficial "chapter that earned the most beads" award on Bourbon Street afterwards. Which was mainly attributed to K Feds' efforts. Always willing to give the people what they want.
We met elvis, Erin' married him at the trade show,. then we saw him again outside of Mothers, this restaurant that is very soup-nazi-like but serves awesome po-boys (at last! Nawlins food I like!). Bourbon street was insane, and I must go back, but I'll need to recover for a while before I do. I wish I got to see more of the tourist-y stuff, like the Cities of the dead and the tours, etc, but during the day I was preoccupied with the conference stuff or tanning. We visited many bars, including Mango Mango (more like ACME for booze), the Oldest bar in the US that was in a mad shady area, Utopia where K Feds and I danced on a bar (mom is so proud), and the Famous Door which had an amazing band, and usually I am reserved about bands - that's more a Carl thing with his "white people music" haha. All in all, after too many Hurricanes, random test tube shots, cranberry and vodkas, and stealing Pat's hand grenade it was a great time. Good thing Sveltlana was there to keep us all in line (Just kidding)
I'm representing ChevronTexaco for survivor, so here's another shameless plug to see me at the NLI April 14th (if you're in Bergstein's 445 I expect you to cheer!).
Next Saturday is Atlantic City with the AI people, which should be cool, and then it's Easter, which means a trip home to moco most likely, and the week after that is going to Philly with Kellie for a bit, and then I'm almost graduated!! I can't believe these past 4 years have gone by so quickly, and I want to thank everyone who has made the past 4 years so memorable - all my friends, old and new. Everyone told me that I def wanted to be on the 4 year and not the 3 year plan, but no one ever told me I should be on the 5 year one! Screw Trex, I'm picking up another major. haha.
Past highlights include: Spring break with Gretch, Shar and Sara and random others, going out with Ward finally and taking a shot to Dr. Morganstein (our dentist),

Been a while...
Lots has happened - got picked to be in Smeal Survivior, which meant I got a free trip to DC and to CSIS. I met someone smarter than Sasha! haha. The presentation at CSIS was amazing - I dont think i've ever had so much information thrown at me at once before. I met a lot of really important people, and this is just the begining :) come see me April 14th @ the Nittany Lion Inn!
Sara and Joel came up to visit me during THON. I am so happy Sara had an awesome time, even if she *did* spend a lot of time on the phone with a certain someone (ahem!). But I'm really excited to be able to hang out with her again and be able to talk about everything just like we used to :). Sara made it to: G-man, Mad Mex, Tony's Big Easy, and The Gaff before she had to go home. Joel and I made it to The Darkhorse and then to THON (where my heel got caught in the bleachers - haha). Sara also gets props for finishing a lot of drinks! Friday she had a coconut run and pineapple, AND a midori sour! Saturday she had another midori sour and a Bacardi Razz that I pretty much forced her to drink. We made it to Table Wars at the Phryst, and then I carried her to the Rathskellar for more fun :) The only bad news was that Sharon couldnt join us :(
I've had a really bad cough all day, so I'm trying to nurse that since, it *is* thirsty thursday and Baldwin is going out to the bars!
On another very exciting note, Gretch is coming home to visit and so I'll get to see her!
Thoughts of the day: "True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost."
- Charles Caleb Colton
too bad it usually takes that for people to realize that.
