tonight was a lot of fun. we went to a club - free cover and open bar - you cant beat that deal with a stick!!! it was mike wyland's first DC nightlife experience. cept he almost didn't get in. They had my name on the guest list, but only me and not anyone else. but we slid around it. (thanks ben) it was really cool and chao was there- who i havent seen in forever. i just hope that on his way home he doesnt try to give donuts to people on the street just waiting for rides. haha.

I got lost in DC yesterday. today i was hobbling all over cause my feet still hurt. :( got lost at farragut north (of course went the wrong way to my workshop on 14th and L) and my steve madden shoes gave me wicked bad blisters :( I hobbled my way to g-town and bought some for 50% off @ express. Then after a little but of shopping, i saw it was almost timet o meet my mom so i started walking down philly ave and i called to tell her which way i was walking in case she took some crazy shortcut. "oh, i was plannig on taking the shuttle" THERES A SHUTTLE??? it's sad the amount of times i;ve gone to g-town and not know aobut this shuttle. sigh.

i did walk a lot tho - not including the time i was lsot i walked 3.4 miles. and in heels, let me tell you thats a feat!

this was a lot longer, but blogger deleted it yesterday. and its late. this working 7 days a week thing got real old real fast. im so excited about the awesome time i had tonite. :) night kids

another quiet day at work. when i got here genevieve was already out at a meeting. today on my agenda:
*look at where to find sterling roses
*update blog with the ljotd
*chat with gretch if she has time
and on the "real work" side i have to look at our business plan today cause i'll be in dc all day tom in a workshop. as gen says, field trip! also i think were brainstorming more on who we want to target this summer, and if we want to focus on cabling needs or auditing.

its really hot today. its supposed to break 100. and its supposed to be gorgeous all week. maybe this weekend the pool wont be so cold anymore. its even not so bad in the dungeon - i have a sweatshirt but usually i cant wear skirts or shorts cause i get too cold.

yesterday i found this great deli, its just like in NY. frank told me about it, but i didnt realize how close it is to work. 5 min away! and i saw it was featured on the food network on "food finds" with katz's in nyc. so needless to say, i got gretchen's and i's lunch yesterday. (she was busy all day :( )

when i was cleaning my room (im perpetually cleaning my room for the random ppl who come here) i found the mug gretch made me :) it has a special spot right next to the sprite bottle :) i can't believe in less than 60 days ill be out of my house for good. my dad used to say that once i left for college i didnt really live there anymore, just for visits. but 3 months in the summer is one helluva long visit. its like the ppl nyarai used to talk about, you know those releatives that come up in your house to visit without calling, and then complain on why you dont have cable? haha. its a little scary not knowing where ill be next year. suggestions, anyone? (besides texas gretch!)

i got an email about a credit card that i am approved for for 100,000 :) its called financing for my (eventual - not soon) wedding. gretch we can go to town!

on a money note, anyone work at a restaurant that can get me a job i can get waitressing experience for next year? otherwise i might have to go back to lifeguarding, and im already old for that. plus i dont think any company can afford me anymore. but im excited about this second job/extra cash idea. right out of college with a 70-80k salary is not bad, plus it will put a big dent in my loans (or maybe ill work with gretch's plan and spend the extra money on purses and shoes ;-) )

i was so exhusted last night i went to bed sooo early.

the wedding in NY was great - i saw so many family members I havent seen inv 2 years or more. My cousin little billy got married - hes really not very little anymore. i can remember climbing trees and setting off fireworks at my grandma's place when we were little. and my cousin has been married for 7 years! it doesnt seem that long ago when "frank shared a hotel room with carly...and lets jsut say they had breakfast the next morning together" i sound like an old fogie.

a few funny quotes from my staff @ the pool:

and the latest: "so, i noticed you stlaknig me...i like that"


drama at the pool all weekend - thats not cool. but the good news is we got inspected yesterday and passed :) i think the inspector was right "don't you get a bonus for this?" i should! too bad matt is too cheap. they dont pay me what i should never mind bonuses. at least my rate was right this time. but can no one in the office add or subtract?

i woke up at 1:17pm today. which wouldnt have been bad except i was supposed to be at my cpr class at 1. haha. i saw this kid mike that i went to high school with again - its wierd how our paths cross just about every year now. i see/talk to him more than i do the people i was best friends with in high school. i didn't stay - i took the test and rolled out. i hope hes doing well - he seemed like a nice kid, even if we never exactly ran in the same circles. mina the old coach from pv was there - that was another wierd blast from the past. her husband was the jerk property manager when i was a supervisor.

anyway. point is im all certified now so cps can get off my back.

greg is our new supervisor - he came by yesterday. its going to be a good summer @ the pool after all :)

also got a letter from AW & sons. they messed up my rent. luckily i dont have to pay the $65 late charge they would have slapped on me.

im leaving for NY tonite - im excited! its scary that a guy i always knew as "little billy" is getting married. but i have to get packing cause as soon as i get home from work we're leaving. ill be back on though cause i have to write my paper. in the meantime message my celly!

I only have a few min before i have to go to work. i found out that gerg is going to be our new supervisor. no noel and the travster afterall. kira will be dissapointed, haha. i also heard a really funny story about him from allison the other day.

i got to goto tara thai for teh first time- that was great. ive always wanted to go there since it opened. (back in my stalking dumbo days, haha)

speaking of stlaking, i was really bored yesterday, and since i already updated this blog, i started stalking people. i found a really interesting blog that is right up there with the crazy psychobitch's (who stopped doing it a while ago - its like my favorite soap opera got cancelled!). so i had good reading for a while. (ps - gretch, i told you i was good!)

Almost time to go home! I am working a short week this week. today was actually really busy and i didnt have much time to goof off - i met with gen (shes the prez) and we talked for an hour about where we wanted to go with our marketing strategy. its actually really a helpful internship - even if i do do silly things like putting rfp's into binders sometimes. and shes paying for me to goto this business writing class - so thats really cool too.

i hope lucious didnt have to work that hard. i feel bad cause i left him and rachel alone. i accidently only scheduled 2 guards on today. and of course no one caught it because no one cares if te pool is understaffed as long as its open and no one gets over 40 hours a week. and i realized that ive been spelling her name wrong for a really long time. yesterday we had a bonding lunch (to celebrate stalin being gone, haha). we learned that the emery ln that runs into 28 does NOT meet georgia. i also did exercises there since i had my dumbells there anyhow.

timem to go kids - maybe ill do more cleaning on my room sicne im going to need the space for people to stay when i have my 4th of july kegger (which I havent told my mom its a kegger yet....) i hope its stopped raining cause traffic is such a pain when it rains :( maybe insted of working on my room ill keep working on that arc. :-\

been a while...oops. hmm. a lot happened. first of all, today was an awesome day :) first i come into work to see rob pull up to see how nice the pool looked (tho he *did* yell @ me for not having my cpr certs, but thats a valid complaint) secondly, i found out that not only is "jiban no longer with the company" but he got canned!!! no more stalin! travis and noel will prolly co-super, which is cool cause both of them are nice and not schmucks. then i went to subway and got the new cosmo (naked bartenders - gretch you're getting mail soon!!!) finally, i got to hang out with everyone @ shars house, which was nice, even tho i had to leave early :(

yesterday was pretty normal, we cleaned cause i expected stalin to stop by - he hadnt made his 3 times/week quota. it's been raining alot so we play monopoly a ton and chill.

i forgot to do my homework for my online class. i better go do that. and get my mail ready to go out tom. oh wait. its sunday. i guess i just have to do my hw then and head to bed. nites!

finally two nice days in a row!! i got to tan a lot yesterday, it was a nice day. there was a board meeting so the big wigs from pinnacle came up. but greg (the younger one who doesnt scare me) said that he hadnt gotten any complaints except for when we closed on a nice day cause stalin broke the pump. and the pool looked awesome, so that was def a plus. :) pinnacle is who i need to keep happy, and they are only happy if dick is happy. and dick is only happy if the homeowners and the people who use the pool are happy. if pinnacle is happy then cps is happy and i can finally get stalin off my case.

*i got my new phone up and running today. :) but I only get 8.33 minutes today :(

yay its friday!! last nite i spent 2 hours fighting with att....but the good news is i get a $100 phone for free, just like the new customers. and its the brand new gsm ones. i think frank gave me his cold. i'm supposed to get my ops renewed, so i better get going cause i have to go to the bank and deposit my first savings toward my new house!!! a whole 1/10 of the way there. and i still need to tan again, esp since its going to be crappy all weekend. monopoly!!! i wonder if stalin's gonna visit today. im going to need to have a talk with him. and rob about his behavior. gotta go for now - im going to eatlunch for me and gretchen cause her boyf wont go like 5 blocks to bring her lunch for her. and shes really hungry, and doesnt get off till like 4pm. :(

its sunny again today :) i was getting tired of all the rain. its supposed to be nice tomorrow too - tan time! and the new memory for my work computer came too. i get to work on the nice computer today cause gen is on a business trip and meeting withthe graphic designer on the newsletter i made, and the liz is at meetings all day too. its almost 9am - the other intern should be here soon, which means i dont answer the phones anymore.

it was raining again when i came in to work today. made traffic fun as usual. i was looking @ dates to go visit penn state, but i have a wedding smack in the middle of june so i guess that may not quite work. we'll see. im also looking to goto boston too at some point so that should be a lot of fun :) i miss gretch. its going to be a long summer cause im working so much and taking classes, but i do get to chat with gretch everyday, so thats a def plus :)

stalin came back yesterday. hes so funny. he told us to scrub the inside of the skimmes (when you goto the pool and you see those white circles on the deck, he wants us to open them and scrub them) then he told us the chairs aren't "equally spaced apart" were gonna tell him that based on our research we found that the optimal spacing for the lawn chairs is 19.25 inches exactly and we need a measuring tape and or a spacer that is equal to that length. hopefully that will nudge the pine tree out of his butt. it might be a very long summer for him though. esp. if he keep this pace up with me.

havn't done much with this cause i've been busy. "working" Stalin came in sat. and this little 13-year old midget kid said to him "was i talking to you??" haha and stalin couldn't even say anything back. he yelled something about cleaning the pool all day, but we played monopoly instead.

some random thoughts
* we had our first near drowning. stupid kids. if you cant swim dont jump in the deep end. gotta give it yo lucious cause he pulled it out really well :)
* at least its sunny today. even if it's only 64. if it would just warm up a little i could swim laps. grrr.
* i wish gretch was be able to come down and visit.
* tired of people stirring up drama when its already had a chance to settle to the bottom
* i think someone replaced gergs vitimins with birth control pills.
